Product Quality Engineering Manager, Private Brands

Amazon Private Brands Product Quality team is looking for a smart, hard-working and creative member for our Shenzhen office. The successful candidate will show excellent judgment and instincts in decision making and proactively and continually improve their level of knowledge about Amazon's business, its platform, and relevant technologies. This is an exciting and challenging position that provides quality support as a subject matter expert (SME) to ensure products meet global safety standards and customer expectations.

The position is responsible for Amazon's worldwide quality program for Hardline categories focusing on the quality area. By supporting quality improvement approaches while creating innovative solutions that move at internet speed. This position will have an opportunity to apply SME knowledge in new and exciting ways. We are looking for a talented expert in Quality & Product Development who has direct experience with product quality requirements, new product introduction, manufacturing operations, testing and quality strategies to support our rapidly growing and evolving business.

Key job responsibilities
- Ensure products continuously comply with Amazon’s quality, performance, reliability, as well as relevant safety and regulatory requirements worldwide
- Implement and apply Amazon Private Brand quality systems throughout the product life cycle
- Facilitate Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) as a framework and decision logic to define the testing depth, resources, budget, and SLAs required to deliver the right product to our customers
- Plan and supervise product benchmark testing for establishing product specifications and claims
- Develop usability testing plan and validate the corrective actions effectiveness
- Drive the implementation and accuracy of Quality Metric Trend Detection and implement preventive measures in upstream product development activities
- Continuously refine test methods and protocols with 3rd party testing agencies
- Monitor performance of 3rd party testing agencies
- Provide full visibility to internal stakeholders
- Develop best-in-class processes and systems, and drive continual improvement
- Drive scalable business solutions on product development and quality monitoring processes
- Work proactively with all stakeholders worldwide for product development, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance
