Monzo is seeking a Security Awareness Analyst to join their People Centred Security Squad. This part-time role focuses on building security processes that protect customers while enabling the bank to move at pace. You will support the delivery of engaging security content across multiple channels, create micro-learning content and behavioural nudges, and manage the day-to-day operations of the security awareness program. You'll translate complex technical information into clear guidance, assist with major awareness campaigns, and use metrics to shape the roadmap. Strong communication, organisation, and understanding of information security risks are essential. Experience in security awareness, internal communications, or behavioural science is a plus.

Our People Centred Security Squad ⭐
This is a very exciting opportunity to join our People Centred Security Squad. We’re focused on building security processes that allow the bank to move at pace, while protecting our customers. We’re never afraid to do things differently.
- You’ll be working closely with a full time Security Awareness Analyst and the Security Awareness Manager
- You’ll be in a team of people who look after the human side of security
- You’ll work with teams from all across Security and all across Monzo
🔑 You’ll play a key role by...
- Supporting the delivery of relevant, engaging, and impactful security awareness content across multiple channels, including Slack, email, presentations, events, and training.
- Independently creating micro-learning content and targeted behavioural nudges that encourage secure habits across Monzo.
- Managing the day-to-day operations of the security awareness programme, including content libraries, campaign logistics, and completion tracking.
- Translating complex technical information into clear, jargon-free guidance that helps Monzonauts make confident security decisions.
- Assisting with major awareness campaigns, including phishing simulations, Cyber Security Month, and safe data handling initiatives.
- Maintaining documentation such as content calendars, campaign retrospectives, and process inventories.
- Improving human-centred security behaviours across Monzo to help protect our customers and colleagues.
- Using metrics, dashboards, and behavioural insights to help shape the future of our security awareness roadmap.
- Applying behavioural science principles such as simplicity, relevance, timing, and cognitive load to design effective awareness interventions.
- Sharing timely communications about relevant live security threats.
- Representing the Monzonaut experience within security engineering projects by identifying opportunities to reduce friction in authentication and data handling journeys.
- Building strong relationships across Security and with stakeholders in People, Tech, Risk, and Customer Operations.
🤩 We’d love to hear from you if…
- You have experience in security awareness, internal communications, or another role focused on influencing human behaviour.
- You’re an excellent communicator who can translate technical concepts into practical, engaging guidance for non-technical audiences.
- You’re highly organised and comfortable managing your own priorities with minimal day-to-day direction.
- You have a solid understanding of common information security risks such as phishing, social engineering, password security, and safe data handling.
- You enjoy collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders and actively seek feedback to improve your work.
- It would be a bonus if you have experience with behavioural science, Learning Management Systems (LMS), content creation tools, presentations or facilitation, data-driven campaign planning, or collaboration tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, and Notion.
