Position Overview

TheraPeds Partners is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide in-person services at a school in Dalton, GA. This full-time position involves supporting students through speech and language therapy, conducting evaluations, contributing to the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), monitoring student progress, and collaborating with teachers, families, and other related service providers. The ideal candidate is an effective communicator who is passionate about helping students with diverse communication and learning needs succeed.

Position Details

• Full-time schedule (37.5 hours per week)
• 2026–2027 school year (August 2026 through May 2027)
• Serving students in Kindergarten through 8th grade
• Assignment split between two school buildings

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide direct speech-language therapy services
• Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals
• Participate in case management responsibilities, as assigned
• Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary collaboration
• Maintain accurate documentation and service records

• Competitive compensation ranging from $55–$65+/ per hour (approximately $2062–$2437+/ per week)

• Master's or doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Valid Department of Education certification or licensure as an SLP, when applicable
• ASHA certification or eligibility for national certification
• State Department of Education credentialing, if required for the assignment
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Clinical Fellowship (CF-SLP) candidates may be considered for select placements
• Experience providing services to pediatric populations
• School-based experience preferred but not required
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
• Comfortable using technology for documentation and communication
• Successful completion of required fingerprinting and background screening
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality and sound judgement.

This opportunity is available as either a W-2 employee or a 1099 independent contractor, depending on the selected employment arrangement.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to actively participate in classroom and school environments throughout the day. Employees should be able to perform physical activities associated with supporting students, including standing, walking, sitting, bending, crawling, lifting, and engaging with students in a variety of educational settings while fulfilling district expectations.
