Citi is looking for an Assistant Product Manager to join the Trustee Fiduciary Services team, playing a central role in shaping and delivering a technology-driven product agenda across a global agile environment. In this position, you will work alongside Product Development seniors to maintain a healthy product backlog, support the Agile Release Train, and help drive the delivery of strategic technology initiatives spanning platform modernisation, process optimisation, and regulatory change. This is a high-visibility role that offers genuine exposure to senior stakeholders and meaningful involvement in programmes that directly impact how Citi's fund services business operates.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with Product Development seniors to define and maintain the product roadmap, ensuring a well-prioritised and timely pipeline of epics across Trustee Fiduciary Services agile teams.
- Manage the programme backlog using JIRA, supporting the drafting and refinement of epics and contributing to prioritisation decisions ahead of agile ceremonies.
- Identify and escalate risks and issues at programme level, ensuring relevant stakeholders are informed and that mitigation actions are tracked and completed.
- Gather and analyse data to support key programme metrics, providing insight that informs decisions across the Agile Release Train.
- Represent Product at agile ceremonies, coordinating updates and ensuring Product Development seniors and their delegates have the reporting needed for timely sign-off.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with Technology Programme Managers, Operations Leads, and Coverage teams to keep delivery aligned to strategic objectives.
- Foster a high-performance team environment where risk awareness and delivery accountability are embedded in day-to-day ways of working.
What we'll need from you
- A primary degree or equivalent qualification is required for this role.
- Experience in project or programme delivery, with a track record of managing change effectively across the full delivery lifecycle.
- Practical knowledge of Agile methodologies, including backlog management, sprint planning, and ceremony facilitation.
- Data literacy skills, with the ability to gather, interpret, and present information to support programme-level reporting and decision-making.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities, meet tight deadlines, and maintain quality under pressure.
- Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and escalate appropriately across all levels of an organisation.
Beneficial skills & qualifications
- A Project Management qualification such as PMI or PRINCE2, or an Agile certification such as CSM or PMI-ACP, would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of Services or Funds Service environment (and Trustee Fiduciary Services) would be beneficial
- Experience working with senior management in a complex, matrixed organisation is advantageous.
