We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Consultant in Pediatric Dentistry to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive oral healthcare services to infants, children, adolescents, and patients with special healthcare needs. The consultant will be responsible for diagnosing, preventing, and treating dental conditions while delivering exceptional patient-centered care in accordance with established clinical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, prevent, and treat oral and dental diseases in infants, children, and adolescents.
- Perform comprehensive dental examinations and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide preventive dental care, including fluoride treatments, sealants, oral hygiene education, and dietary counseling.
- Perform restorative procedures, pulp therapy, extractions, stainless steel crowns, and space maintainers.
- Manage dental trauma and emergency pediatric dental cases.
- Assess and manage patients requiring conscious sedation or general anesthesia in collaboration with anesthesia and surgical teams.
- Provide dental care for children with special healthcare needs.
- Educate parents and caregivers on preventive oral health practices and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and departmental meetings.
- Supervise and mentor junior dentists, residents, and other clinical staff as required.
- Adhere to infection prevention and control policies and maintain the highest standards of patient safety and ethics.
- Participate in continuing medical education (CME) and professional development activities.
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), or an equivalent recognized dental degree.
- Completion of a recognized residency or postgraduate training in Pediatric Dentistry.
- Board Certification, Fellowship, Master's degree, or equivalent specialist qualification in Pediatric Dentistry.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of post-qualification clinical experience in Pediatric Dentistry.
- Proven expertise in preventive, restorative, and therapeutic dental care for infants, children, and adolescents.
- Experience in behavior management techniques and treating children with special healthcare needs is an advantage.
- Ability to diagnose and manage pediatric dental emergencies and dental trauma.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

- Strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) systems is preferred.
