Come Drive Innovation with Us. We are currently looking for a Regional Sales Operations Manager to join our team in Irvine, CA.
Leads the achievement of all retail, ICV and wholesale sales objectives for an assigned region. Responsible for the development and communication of district sales objectives and other regional and national initiatives to DOMs and AGMs. Reports sales-related information and works with other regional staff to correlate results. Assists Vehicle Operations Manager in promoting revenue enhancing programs in dealerships such as ICV and Certified Pre Owned (CPO) programs. Works with AGMs and Regional leadership to develop action plans to mitigate operational issues and maximize sales performance. Responsible for the development of all national and regional governance material and all retailer meeting presentation material.
A Day in the Life:
- Supervises a regional Field Operations Specialist. Establishes performance goals, allocates resources, assesses annual performance, supports development needs and recommends rotational/promotional opportunities.
- Monitors quality of work.
- Supervises and provides leadership, coaching, guidance, training, career counseling and staff development; counsels and disciplines employees as necessary.
- Tracks sales-related data including retail sales, ICV, CPO and wholesale assignments.
- Analyzes and reports sales information to national management, regional management, and regional staff.
- Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes recommendations to regional management.
- Conducts special projects and ad-hoc reporting and analysis for regional and national management.
- Communicates program rules relating to national incentive programs. Tracks and communicates progress to ensure regional staff and retailers are fully aligned.
- Works with RGM and RVP to develop impactful regional tactical programs to drive retail sales.
- Develops program materials, works with vendors and regional team members to effectively launch, track and manage programs.
- Acts as a liaison to National Sales Operations, manages the ERF process for regional tactical program approvals, provides post mortems and reports on program ROI and effectiveness.
- Assists regional management with organizing DOM sales meetings, dealer meetings and dealer incentive trip awards. Interfaces with hotels and travel companies regarding meeting arrangements.
- Responsible for managing regional deviation and exception requests and to communicate performance numbers to national departments for payment calculations.
- Coordinates with national Sales Operations on final payments and notifies participants of final results.
- Serves as point of contact and subject matter expert on all sales related programs and initiatives.
- Works with the RVP, RGM and AGMs on the development of regional sales objectives and retailer sales objectives.
- Launches, tracks and measures performance for programs, initiatives and regional performance targets.
- Works with regional management to identify opportunities for improvement and to make recommendations to achieve the Company’s objectives.
- Tracks registration and completion of required training and reports certification status and progress to management. May also participate in training and informational meetings.
- Manages the Regional Vehicle Operations Manager, provides direction, oversees daily activities and manages attainment of the regional wholesale assignment objective.
- Responsible for the management of sales training events for dealership personnel.
- Arranges with vendor services or headquarter training office for centralized regional training events.
- Coordinates Corporate Training Office activities; Communicates with dealership personnel regarding training opportunities directly and through periodic written communications.
- Reviews billings to ensure proper vendor charges related to training events.
- May perform other related duties as assigned.
Who We're Looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field required.
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive sales and marketing experience, including a minimum of 2 years of analytical experience in various specialties of the automotive industry including: Sales Ops, Dealer Agreements, Marketing, Parts & Service, Sales Reporting, Mkt Rep, Market Analytics, Pricing, Consumer Affairs, Distribution, Customer Satisfaction/Experience, Advertising & Promotions, Warranty, Carflow, Mix Mgmt, Facilities/Merchandising, CMM/ Contests & Incentives, Manufacturing
- Prior work may be a combination within a dealership, region, headquarters, or manufacturing facility and may be at the Planner level or similar type of position. A minimum of 3-5 years of Marketing and Sales experience, previous experience at the Planner level in Consumer Affairs, Sales Operations, Distribution, Market Representation or Marketing is preferred. Previous sales or dealership contact experience is a plus.
- Must possess strong and proven leadership, analytical, leadership and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of word processor, spreadsheet, other PC applications, or mainframe applications to produce non-standard, creative products. Additional knowledge of sales related systems.
- Self motivated and directed without a requirement for significant oversight of daily work responsibilities.

Travel:

Salary Range:
$108,400.00 - $200,513.00
