The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Global Services (BGS) and the Government Services Engineering organization is seeking a first line P-8 Integrated Logistics Support Manager to lead the P-8 Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) team located in Tukwila, WA.
This role will focus on overseeing the integration of the logistics support system for the U.S. Navy and multiple international P-8 sustainment programs, developing new product offerings and strategies to capture additional business, and successfully managing, developing, and motivating a large team.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in the execution of Integrated Logistics Support activities, including provisioning, technical publications, system supportability analysis, training, supply support, and obsolescence, as well as integrating with program management, supply chain, engineering, and other functions for multiple programs with products in various life‑cycle phases. Additionally, the candidate will be able to create a teaming environment across organizational boundaries and will understand the importance of open and honest communication.
The P-8 is a 737-derivative platform. Prior experience in fleet support or aircraft system design for the P-8, P-3, other commercial-derivative platforms, U.S. Navy customers, or BCA products is preferred.
Position Responsibilities:
- Leads planning and integration activities for profit-and-loss stand-alone support program(s) or major support business/program elements where business needs dictate
- Applies technical knowledge of product support and logistics disciplines and Program Management Best Practices to direct program activities and manages employees performing program management tasks
- Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and sets operational goals
- Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers, and leads process improvements
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes
- Manages, develops, and motivates employees
- Provides leadership, strategic planning, and technical guidance for multi-skilled product support teams and/or functional areas
- Directs, plans, integrates, and oversees cost and schedule performance for two or more skill areas within Product Support
- Works cross-functionally with internal and external customers and suppliers
- Leads improvements through the application of process improvement methods to enhance performance, productivity, and enable future growth
Security Clearance Requirement: This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership”
- 5+ years of experience in project or program management
- 5+ years of experience with Program Management Best Practices (PMBP)
- Experience in a role that required strong written and verbal skills
- Experience with team building, developing and motivating employees
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- Experience with schedule and budget management, integration of all logistics elements, customer communication, as well as understanding of execution of program planning to ensure cost, schedule and technical baseline requirements are met
- Experience working with P-8 or a comparable commercial derivative aircraft platform
- Experience with U.S. Navy or international government aviation maintenance practices and experience partnering with government customers to deliver services and products
- Intermediate or higher quantitative analysis skills
