Description
Logitech is the Sweet Spot for people who want their actions to have a positive global impact while having the flexibility to do it in their own way.
Focus: A 6-month journey from "Data Student" to "Supply Chain Architect," focusing on Cost to Serve and OTIF optimization.
Location: Utrecht, Netherlands / Hybrid
Level: Master’s / Final Year Bachelor Internship
The Learning Philosophy:
We don't expect you to arrive with all the answers. The Direct-to-Anywhere (DTX) team is a high-growth, energetic environment where we learn by doing. This internship is designed to be your "sandbox"—a place to apply your academic knowledge of data, and tools like Snowflake, Tableau, and AI to the frontier of Logitech’s webstore and social commerce (TikTok Shop, eBay) and global logistics across Europe and North America.
What We Provide for Your Growth:
- Mentorship: Frequent 1-on-1s to track your learning progress and align with your thesis requirements.
- Technical Access: Full access to our tech stack (Snowflake, Tableau, AI sandboxes).
- Network: Exposure to our DTX and supply chain teams across two continents.
- Dutch Internship Perks: Competitive monthly allowance (Stagevergoeding) + a vibrant office social scene.
Your Contribution:
Be Yourself. Be Open. Stay Hungry and Humble. Collaborate. Challenge. Decide and just Do. Share our passion for Equality and the Environment. These are the behaviors and values you’ll need for success at Logitech. In this role your Learning Curriculum over the course of 6 months will be:
Phase 1: The Foundations (Month 1-2)
- Objective: Master the "Data Plumbing" & Cost Drivers.
- Learning: Under the guidance of a mentor, you will learn to navigate our Snowflake data cloud, understanding how multi-currency, multi-region (EU/NA) data is structured. You will map out how logistical activities directly translate to financial costs.
- Goal: Fully understand the "Order-to-Delivery" lifecycle for both traditional web and social commerce, identifying where service and cost leakages typically occur.
Phase 2: Advanced Insights & Cost Optimization (Month 2-3)
- Objective: Elevate existing tracking into actionable cost-to-serve storytelling.
- Learning: Move beyond basic metrics. You will take ownership of our existing OTIF and Cycle Time dashboards, upgrading them to provide deeper, more granular insights. Simultaneously, you will build out new layers tracking Cost to Serve to connect operational performance with financial impact.
- Goal: Identify one "hidden" financial bottleneck or margin drainer in our EU or NA operation and present a data-backed improvement strategy to the leadership team.
Phase 3: The Innovation Pilot (Month 4-6)
- Objective: Apply AI to mitigate disruptions and control costs.
- Learning: Experiment with our Data and AI tools to build a predictive "Exception Management" tool. This tool will enable the team to view shipment exceptions in one place and predict which delayed shipments will incur the highest financial penalties or extra carrier fees.
- Goal: Leave behind a legacy AI tool that our operations team will continue to use to protect margins and improve service levels long after you graduate.
Key Qualifications:
For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and experiences to our team:
- Academic Background: You are currently studying Supply Chain, Business Analytics, Econometrics, or Data Science and are looking for a graduation project or mandatory internship.
- The "T-Shaped" Skillset: You have a solid grasp of Analytics and Data Viz, but you are hungry to see how data-driven decisions impact real-world P&L and global logistics.
- Curiosity: You aren’t just interested in analytics; you want to find the financial "why" behind a stuck package and love the challenge of optimizing profitability.
