The Office of the Dean of Science is seeking a highly capable Executive Officer to support the strategic growth and operational excellence of the Faculty of Science. Executive Officer (25260013)
The Office of the Dean of Science* is seeking a highly capable and detail-oriented Executive Officer to join our team. In support of the strategic growth and operational excellence of the Faculty of Science*, the appointee will play a pivotal role in coordinating and overseeing a broad spectrum of administrative functions of the Office, and provide essential assistance in governance, policy compliance, and data-driven decision-making, working closely with stakeholders across the Faculty and the University.
* The Faculty of Science will be renamed to Faculty of Science and Technology with effect from 1 September 2026, and its Dean’s Office will be renamed to the Office of the Dean of Science and Technology.
Responsibilities:
The appointee is also required to attend to other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Applicants should possess a recognised bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, preferably with four years of relevant work experience. Experience in robust administration under a local higher education institution setting, particularly in an academic unit, will be a definite advantage.
The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate the following qualities and competencies:
Candidates with less experience may be considered for the post of Assistant Executive Officer.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test. Depending on the candidate’s experience, the initial appointment may be offered on a fixed-term, gratuity-bearing contract of one or two years.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
