Senior Managing Consultant, Services Business Development

Role Description and Major Responsibilities:
The Senior Management Consultant, Business Development, is an active team member who contributes to achieving sales targets and generating and closing opportunities with Mastercard's clients. While the individual is not expected to be a subject matter expert in the payments industry, he/she will demonstrate consultative sales management experience, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage the day-to-day relationship with clients.
The candidate should be able to, from a sales & relationship perspective:
• Responsible for business development and ongoing account ownership for Services within the Financial Institutions, Fintech and other segments with direct revenue, account ownership and sales responsibilities.
• Refine the value proposition of new and existing Services capabilities to meet the needs of FI, digital merchant and fintech executives.
• Will serve as the face of Mastercard Services to senior level client stakeholders, including C-Suite Executives.
• Responsible for revenue targets
• Take ownership of the sales process, from prospecting to executing commercial contracts, ensuring a seamless and efficient sales cycles.
• Will collaborate closely with other team members and bring an innovative and creative mind set to partnering with large global accounts.
• Will partner with the Mastercard Account teams to develop a plan to support their strategic imperatives for target accounts.
• Will work closely with Client Services teams for an effective joint go to market and to ensure best-in-class value delivery
The candidate should be able to, from a project perspective:
• Coach and provide feedback to the team members
• Support the project team in:
o Problem-solving efforts and structuring project work plan
o Formulating, articulating, and prioritizing project activities
o Creating and delivering concise, persuasive, and compelling presentations
o Overseeing the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of analyses
o Developing conclusions and recommendations
About you
• Strong commercial drive with ability to build and monetize senior client relationships based on thought leadership, empathy, and subject matter expertise.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and demonstrated experience in selling solutions to c-level clients.
• Ability to own and drive end to end sales from initial prospecting through signed contract.
• Collaborative attitude with an understanding of how to win as a team.
• Strong communication skills and proven attitude for learning technical terms and developing an understanding of complex technical products.
• Strong networker across relevant stakeholder base with the ability to listen, build common ground and influence in order to effectively advance business opportunities and generate revenues.
Experience
• Undergraduate degree required
• MBA or relevant post-graduate degree preferred
• Strong commercially/business development oriented experience
• Strong relationship management skills
• Technical fluency (i.e., comfortable with technology solutions, able to discuss trends and simplify concepts)
• Work experience in management consulting preferred
• Ability to work on a team or independently, and to influence and build consensus
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in managing projects and teams
• Fluency in Spanish and English
