Egis Group is seeking a Principal Consultant for their Aviation consultancy team. This role involves working on diverse UK aviation projects, from initial opportunity identification through to project delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience in operational, technical, or managerial roles within an airport or ATM setting. The position requires a proactive, analytical individual with strong problem-solving and presentation skills, comfortable with client engagement and data analysis. The role offers autonomy, development opportunities, and requires travel within the UK and internationally. Egis is committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion, valuing each employee's contribution.
Egis is a leading global architectural, consulting, construction engineering, operations and mobility services firm. We create and operate intelligent infrastructure and buildings that both respond to the climate emergency and contribute to more balanced, sustainable and resilient development. Our almost 25,000 employees operate across over 70 countries, deploying their expertise to develop and deliver cutting-edge innovations and solutions for clients. Through the wide range of our activities, we are central to the collective organisation of society and the living environment of citizens all over the world.
We now have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Consultant to join our highly successful Aviation consultancy team, working across the full breadth of our UK business and serving a wide range of innovative aviation programmes.
To meet growing demand for our services, we are looking for individuals with a range of expertise and experience and a keen interest in aviation. You will already have experience in an operational, technical or managerial role within an airport or ATM setting. As well as utilising your current skillset, you will also be keen to progress in your career and work on wider consultancy projects in our rapidly growing aviation and UK businesses. We are looking for individuals who can use their expertise to take projects through the entire lifecycle from uncovering the initial opportunity all the way through bid preparation and delivery to ensure our customers’ expectations are met and exceeded.
The consultancy environment can be very fast paced with opportunities emerging at very short notice that will require a flexible, agile approach to delivering excellence in consultancy services and meeting or exceeding client requirements. We crunch a lot of data, write a lot of reports, share our learning and knowledge with each other and really get to know our clients. If this sounds like a challenge that appeals to you, we would love to speak with you to understand how you might fit into our team.
We have a flat collegiate structure and work in small project teams where our philosophy is to encourage you to manage your own career and time. You’ll have far more autonomy than our competitors offer, and, in return, we ask that you deliver high quality work and ensure that our clients continue to come back to us (currently 80% of our work is repeat business!). As part of the business development, extensive client engagement and delivery focused nature of the role, you should expect to travel both within the UK and beyond.
In return we offer a competitive salary and a range of additional benefits including discretionary bonus, pension, private healthcare, life insurance, in house training, a great work/life balance and opportunities to travel.
Candidates must be degree-qualified in a numerate subject, preferably in an engineering, science or aviation related subject. In order to thrive in our fast-paced consultancy environment within a senior role, you must have a proactive nature with a drive to see projects through to conclusion.
You must also thrive on problem solving and the application of excellent critical thinking skills. Your written and verbal presentation skills must be of a high standard, and you must enjoy the prospect of client engagement whether in workshops, training sessions, one-to-one meetings or simply networking over coffee.
