ITnova is seeking a skilled H-1 Airframe / Hydraulic Mechanic to join our aviation maintenance team supporting mission-critical rotary-wing aircraft operations. This position is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting hydraulic systems, completing structural repairs, performing corrosion control, and conducting aircraft inspections to ensure mission readiness. The ideal candidate has a strong background in rotary-wing aircraft maintenance, hands-on experience with hydraulic and structural systems, and a commitment to delivering high-quality maintenance support in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
- Performs routine aircraft maintenance functions on H-1 aircraft and related systems.
- Operates aircraft towing equipment in towing operations, as required.
- Maintains aircraft hydraulic and structural systems.
- Performs corrosion prevention, treatment, and preservation actions.
- Performs carbon fiber, sheet metal, and composite repairs within training and authorization limits.
- Performs hydraulic system troubleshooting and repair.
- Performs preventive maintenance inspections on aircraft and aircraft systems and subsystems.
- Performs troubleshooting, repair, modification, corrosion control, and preservation of aircraft and aircraft subsystems.
- Services ground support equipment and perform preventive maintenance inspections on assigned support equipment, as required.
- Uses blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, manufacturers’ drawings, and sketches in the performance of assigned duties.
- Completes maintenance documentation accurately using OOMA and required forms, as required by job assignment.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years aviation maintenance experience with at least 2 years rotary-wing experience.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a primary MOS fromOccFld615X Aircraft Maintenance, an equivalent skill designation from another service, or valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, able to pass a background check and obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
- Must be able to meet any Government and company licensing or qualification requirements for the position.
- Must have knowledge of the proper use of hand tools in aircraft maintenance.
- Must be able to read and write, interpret, and comply with aircraft maintenance procedures, manuals, specifications, directives, guides, and forms used on the job.
- Must demonstrate working knowledge of carbon fiber, sheet metal, and composite repairs.
- Must show proficiency in the use of OOMA within 60 days after assignment.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift and maneuver 50 pounds.
- Able to pass a fit-for-work physical and/or drug test as required.
- Must be able to work in areas that require awkward posturing, bending, kneeling, squatting, and working overhead.
- Must be able to work at height in the hangar and on the flight line, as required.
- Must be able to man and perform flight line extinguisher duties, as required.
- If required, must be able to pass a DOT physical and operate powered industrial trucks.
- If required, must be able to pass a respiratory physical and wear a respirator for 2 to 4 hours.
- If required, must be able to perform confined space activities.
- Travel may be required.
