webAI is seeking a UX Writer for a 4-month contract role to own the product's voice and terminology. You will work alongside designers and product managers from the concept stage, shaping features and ensuring every word earns its place. Responsibilities include writing interface copy, developing voice and tonal guidance for both human-written and AI-generated content, and ensuring copy is integrated into the product build. This role requires deep fluency with AI and conversational experiences, comfort with design tools like Figma, and a strong portfolio of UX writing across platforms.
This role is a 4 month contract with the potential to be extended to 6 months, or hired full time
About Us
webAI is pioneering the future of artificial intelligence by establishing the first distributed AI infrastructure dedicated to personalized AI. We recognize the evolving demands of a data-driven society for scalability and flexibility, and we firmly believe that the future of AI lies in distributed processing at the edge, bringing computation closer to the source of data generation. Our mission is to build a future where a company's valuable data and intellectual property remain entirely private, enabling the deployment of large-scale AI models directly on standard consumer hardware without compromising the information embedded within those models. We are developing an end-to-end platform that is secure, scalable, and fully under the control of our users, empowering enterprises with AI that understands their unique business. We are a team driven by truth, ownership, tenacity, and humility, and we seek individuals who resonate with these core values and are passionate about shaping the next generation of AI.
About the Role
Copy is design here, not decoration. We're building a product where every word earns its place, and we need someone to own writing as a craft across the experience.
Big user research surfaced terminology and naming as a major gap in the app, and right now nobody owns copy as a craft to fix it. This is a concept-stage role, not a fill-in-the-blanks role. You're in the room when features get shaped, working alongside designers and product from the start. You own the voice of the product, what things are called, and how it speaks, including the words our AI generates, not just the words we write by hand.
This role reports into the Director of Design.
