What You Will Do:
- Develop and implement Indigenous Economic Engagement Plans and strategies to increase Indigenous participation in Enbridge projects and operational activities within an assigned geography.
- Support the development of Contract Development Plans (CDPs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and Socio-Economic Requirements of Contractors (SERCs), ensuring alignment with Indigenous engagement objectives.
- Evaluate contractor Socio-Economic Plans (SEPs), participate in clarification and negotiation processes, and provide recommendations throughout contract award and execution stages and makes recommendations on the award of sub contracts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Indigenous communities, economic development representatives, and Indigenous businesses to foster long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.
- Build and maintain accurate profiles of Indigenous businesses within strategic communities, supporting supplier development, pre-qualification readiness, and increased participation in Enbridge contracting opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and contractors to ensure coordinated Indigenous engagement efforts, compliance with socio-economic commitments, and accurate reporting of Indigenous participation outcomes and SERC requirements.
Who You Are:
- Related University Degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management or Business with 7+ years of related work experience in Supply Chain or a business development related function and/or field.
- Knowledge of Indigenous issues, opportunities, and economic participation related to resource development, along with an understanding of Indigenous community relationships within the assigned region.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management and contracting processes, with the ability to identify and implement innovative Indigenous participation opportunities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills (high level of emotional intelligence) and the ability to work with people at all levels representing a diverse stakeholder group.
- High level of cultural awareness, emotional intelligence, and sensitivity when working with Indigenous communities and leadership.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with Power BI, ISNetworld, SIMS/Praxis, or a professional SCM designation (e.g., PMAC, ISM) is considered an asset.
- Experience working within the energy, natural resources, or pipeline industry, is an asset.
Working Conditions:
- This position is primarily office-based with regular travel throughout the assigned geography to Indigenous communities, Enbridge facilities, contractor offices, and supplier locations.
- Frequent travel, including extended driving and occasional travel outside of standard business hours, is required to support relationship development and project activities.
