R&D Manager Industrial Patisserie Applications

Your Mission 

As R&D Manager Industrial Patisserie Applications, you play a key role in accelerating the growth of our Industrial and Semi‑Industrial Patisserie business worldwide. You translate market and customer needs into robust, scalable product and process solutions. By combining applied R&D expertise with strong collaboration across markets, you help bring innovation to life in real industrial environments. Your work directly contributes to business growth, profitability, and customer success.

Key Accountabilities 

• Lead applied R&D activities for Industrial and Semi‑Industrial Patisserie applications, from concept development to industrial implementation.
• Define and develop the product range for industrial patisserie in close collaboration with the different countries, Product Management, and Business Development.
• Drive new product development and optimization projects, ensuring strong product performance, cost optimization, and industrial feasibility.
• Support countries and key customers through technical expertise, customer visits, and tailored application solutions.
• Build and share technical and scientific know‑how across the global R&D network, enabling local teams to operate more independently.
• Collaborate closely with Operations, Quality, Purchasing, and Supply Chain to ensure smooth scale‑up, compliance, and risk management.
• Develop and deliver technical training for R&D and business teams on ingredients, formulations, processes, and applications.

 

 

 

Who are we looking for? 

• You hold a Master’s degree in Bioscience Engineering, Food Technology, or an equivalent scientific discipline.
• You have at least 5 years of experience in R&D within the food industry, ideally with exposure to industrial bakery or patisserie applications.
• You combine strong knowledge of ingredients functionality with a solid understanding of food processing and quality.
• You demonstrate a hands‑on, solution‑oriented mindset with a customer centric focus.
• You communicate confidently and collaborate easily with multicultural, cross‑functional stakeholders.
• You are digitally savvy, with a proactive mindset towards exploring and adopting new digital tools and solutions
• You are comfortable working in an international environment and are willing to travel globally (around 30%).
• You are fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
