The Alliance is seeking an experienced Head of Events Operations for a 12-month maternity cover role. This position is responsible for the operational delivery of global events, including summits, exhibitions, and dinners. The role involves strategic planning, leading a small team, managing suppliers, and driving operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in managing high-impact B2B events, strong commercial awareness, and experience with project management tools. The role is London-based with international travel required.

We are seeking an experienced Head of Events Operations to join us on a 12-month maternity cover, taking ownership of the operational delivery of our global events portfolio.
Reporting directly to the COO, you will play a key leadership role across the business, overseeing the successful execution of in-person summits, exhibitions, awards, executive dinners, member events and bespoke training programmes.
This role combines strategic planning with hands-on delivery. You will lead a small team, manage key supplier relationships, drive operational excellence, and continuously improve how we plan and execute events at scale.
Being a startup, things here move quickly. You’ll be thrown last-minute curveballs and will need to be adaptable. We enjoy it. We need you to, too
Salary: £48,000–£50,000 FTE per annum, depending on experience.
Contract Length: 12 Months maternity cover (start date August/September 2026)
Location & Hybrid Working: This role is London-based due to the nature of our events. While we offer flexible hybrid working, you'll be expected to be in the office when prepping kits for key events.
Travel: International travel, including regular trips to the US, is required. Please ensure you're eligible to travel under the ESTA programme (or can otherwise obtain the appropriate travel authorisation).
