Collins Aerospace is hiring a Site Controller. This position will serve as the Finance Lead for Engineered Polymer Products (EPP) in Jacksonville, Florida. This leader will be responsible and accountable for all Finance and Accounting related matters at the EPP business, including Program Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis, Accounting, managing overhead budgets and rates, and compliance & controls adherence.
Position Overview:
This is a high visibility position reporting to the Director of Finance for Airbus and EPP programs. The successful candidate will represent the EPP business as a communication focal point and will be expected to brief executive leadership on the financial performance of the business. As a strategic business partner, the successful candidate will provide immediate support to the site General Manager while collaborating with Integrated Product Team Leads and other Cross Functional leaders to drive results across two manufacturing sites located in Jacksonville, FL.
The ideal candidate will champion a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion and ensure that the EPP team is a high performing team of Finance professionals that provide accurate and insightful management analysis & recommendations that enable Collins Advanced Structures to maximize profits and win new business.
This position will work onsite in Jacksonville, FL. Relocation assistance available.
What You Will Do:
- Supports monthly, quarterly, and annual financial processes including month end close, monthly forecasting, establishing and managing OH rates, and establishing the AOP and 5-year strategic business plan.
- Analyzes financial results and proactively works with leadership and program teams to understand the drivers of key variances and to identify initiatives to drive improved results.
- Supports the execution of US Government contracts across the program life cycle from capture to close-out. Understand government accounting compliance rules and procedures such as the FAR's, DFAR's, CAS and their impacts to the business. Interfaces with government agencies on various audits.
- Provides financial support on business proposals and negotiations, to include TINA certification. Interprets financial implications of contract terms and conditions.
- Evaluates and provides guidance on program Estimates at Complete to ensure proper and compliant revenue recognition while performing meaningful analysis to help drive program cost and schedule control.
- Ensure financial controls are established and are operating in compliance with US GAAP, SOX and any other statutory or policy requirements. Maintains a strong tone at the top to cultivate a culture of compliance and continuous improvement, performs risk assessments against controls and documents potential areas of weakness. Leads and supports both internal and external audits.
- Responsible for delegating and reviewing activities of a team of 6 Finance Professionals. Recruits, hires, and retains a high performing team and ensures the entire staff is fully trained on initiatives and has the tools necessary to execute their roles.
- Collaborates and interfaces with the site GM, IPT leads, and cross functional business leaders to solve complex issues and ensure alignment on key priorities of the organization.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
- Minimum of 5 years of financial leadership
- Must have experience in financial management and execution of defense programs and US government contracts.
- Must have knowledge and experience with standard accounting practices US GAAP, SOX, and other statutory requirements.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience implementing continuous process improvements; proven ability to identify issues and underlying root causes, and then implement robust corrective actions.
- Knowledge and experience with Program Cost & Schedule control tools & techniques including Earned Value Management System (EVMS), documenting baseline changes, and evaluating Estimates at Complete (EAC’s)
- Experience in budgets and rates or evaluating and managing indirect rates and overhead pools.
- Experience conducting or supporting critical process controls audits.
- Experience in competitive capture, including proposals and contract negotiations.
- Experience with SAP and Business Warehouse

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
