PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Lead - Digital Transformation will drive enterprise-wide change by leading high-impact programs that support long-term value creation. For the first 18-24 months, the primary vehicle for this transformation (75%) will be steering the business-readiness and organizational alignment for our global ERP rollout in India. This is a high-visibility, non-technical role focused on process governance, cross-cultural conflict resolution, and strategic change management. Post-implementation, the role will naturally expand into broader transformation initiatives, new product launches, and market entry strategies.
The role requires high ownership, problem solving skills, managing multiple complex workstreams, influencing senior stakeholders, and balancing the long-term transformation goals with short-term business priorities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Enterprise Business Transformation & Cross-Border Governance (75% in initial 2 years)
- Lead end-to-end business readiness for the ERP deployment in India
- Drive structured problem solving by being an effective intermediary between the Business functions, functional consultants and Global stakeholders
- Strategic Business Interface: Act as the central anchor and strategic translator between India business, local functional partners, and global stakeholders.
- Complex Conflict & Consensus Management: Lead intense cross-border alignment sessions. Actively negotiate and resolve friction points where local market realities conflict with global operational templates
- Business Process Ownership: Drive structured problem-solving to define the local "To-Be" operational state. Evaluate local process variations to ensure we adopt best-in-class global standards while safeguarding critical legal/ regulatory needs
- Organizational Readiness & Change: Take end-to-end ownership of business readiness (User Acceptance Testing, business simulation, and capability building) to ensure a seamless cultural and operational transition
- Business Transformation initiatives
- Lead end-to-end program management of transformation initiatives (incl. Digital), including planning, execution, governance, and tracking of outcomes
- Define and institutionalize governance frameworks, review mechanisms, and performance dashboards
- Drive structured problem solving and reimagine business processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and effectiveness
- Partner with cross-functional teams to design and drive implementation
- Manage stakeholders across levels to drive alignment on priorities and outcomes
- Drive enterprise-wide change management, ensuring sustained adoption at scale
- Strategy & Innovation Projects
- Drive high-impact strategic initiatives such as new product launches, market entry strategies, and business case development
- Develop robust business plans including industry analysis, opportunity sizing, “where to play” and “how to win” frameworks
- Build execution roadmaps with clear milestones, deliverables, and success metrics
- Own end-to-end program management of strategic initiatives, ensuring timely delivery
- Value Realization & Capability Building
- Define success metrics, KPIs, and value tracking mechanisms for transformation and strategy initiatives
- Ensure realization of business impact through disciplined tracking, course correction, and governance
- Build and institutionalize scalable processes, tools, and best practices across functions
- Drive capability building within business teams to sustain transformation outcomes beyond program lifecycle

KEY PERFORMANCE INDEX
- Successful and on-time local sign-off of 'To-Be' blueprint and Fit-Gap analysis for SAP roll-out
- Delivery of enterprise-wide transformation initiatives against defined scope, timelines, and milestones
- Value realization from transformation programs (e.g. cost savings, efficiency gains, productivity improvement, working capital impact)
- Adoption and sustainability of new processes, systems, and ways of working across functions
- Achievement of defined KPIs for strategic programs (e.g., revenue impact, market entry success, ROI)
- Effectiveness of cross-functional collaboration and on-time delivery of strategic initiatives
JOB REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential/Must-have:
BTech from a premier institute; MBA from Tier 1 / 2 schools preferred
Desirable/Good to have:
Certifications in Program Management (PMP/Prince2), Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
Essential/Must-have:
- 9-12 years’ experience in Strategy Consulting and/or in-house Strategy/Transformation
- Proven experience leading large-scale, cross-functional change or digital transformation programs where success depended on influencing without authority and managing senior stakeholders
- Strong program management experience with demonstrated ability to manage complexity and multiple competing workstreams
Desirable/Good to have:
Prior exposure to an ERP/SAP rollout ecosystem from a business governance, PMO, or change management perspective (Technical SAP knowledge is not a must).
FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES:
Essential/Must-have:
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills
- Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong proficiency in data analytics, insight generation, and business case development
- Ability to manage conflicts and drive consensus in ambiguous situations
