The role, in a nutshell:
As a Partner Solutions Architect, you will be part of the Professional Services team within Customer Success, working in direct partnership with Chainguard's partner ecosystem - including system integrators, resellers, and technology partners. In this role, you will enable and empower partners to successfully implement Chainguard solutions and build secure software on behalf of their customers. You will embody our company value, "We are customer obsessed" by ensuring partners are equipped to deliver an exceptional experience to end users at scale.
What you’ll do:
- Lead technical enablement programs for partners, equipping their teams to successfully implement and drive adoption of Chainguard Containers and Libraries on behalf of their customers
- Partner with the alliances and channel team (Partner Account Managers, AEs, SEs, and CSMs) to understand partner capabilities, pain points, and go-to-market motions in order to drive joint strategies, value realization, and mutual growth
- Develop and maintain partner-facing technical content, including integration guides, reference architectures, and best practices, to enable partners to scale Chainguard implementations independently
- Support partners in post-sales technical engagements, including co-delivery of implementations, architecture reviews, and escalation support for complex customer environments
- Act as the primary technical liaison between the partner ecosystem and Chainguard's Product and Engineering teams, conveying partner-sourced requirements and feedback to influence roadmap prioritization
- Build and maintain a deep understanding of partner technical competencies, identifying gaps and designing enablement programs to close them
- Maintain partner-level architecture documentation and share best practices and lessons learned across the organization
- Be a team player - collaborate, teach, and learn from both the Chainguard team and the broader partner community
What we're looking for:
- Minimum 4+ years experience in a post-sales role supporting clients - preferably with experience in a partner-facing technical role, such as partner engineering, alliances, or channel solutions architecture
- 8+ years of experience developing high-performance multi-tier applications
- Strong experience in Kubernetes and Containers
- Experience working with or within a partner ecosystem (SIs, ISVs, resellers, or technology alliances) and an understanding of how partners go to market
- Ability to communicate technical information in both highly technical and non-technical ways depending on the audience - from partner engineers to executive stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to create scalable technical enablement programs and content for partner audiences
- Continuous learner with a strong intellectual drive for excellence and the desire to develop solutions to complex problems
- At least a Bachelor's Degree with a focus in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology
- Strong working experience with software development processes, practices, and software engineering design concepts
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering teams, alliances, and business partners
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- Located in the Eastern Time Zone
Compensation: up to $195,000 base salary + bonus + equity
