Store Designer, Worldwide Grocery Real Estate

The Retail Growth & Development team within Amazon's Worldwide Grocery Real Estate organization is looking for a talented Store Designer to join their team. We are an exciting, fast-moving business unit, where everyone on the team needs to be entrepreneurial, wear many hats and work effectively in a highly collaborative environment. You are the right person for this job if you are a creative problem solver with curiosity and drive for learning and a passion for customers. You must demonstrate the ability to efficiently drive multiple projects throughout all phases of design, permitting and construction administration. Key job responsibilities
- Solutions oriented, proactive and flexible attitude; willingness to take an “all hands-on deck” approach.
- Translate brand design standards and concepts in an innovative yet fiscally responsible way.
- Work across a large portfolio and multiple banners with a diverse set of programs.
- Manage the design process, interfacing with internal and external design partners.
- Adapt site specific conditions metrics and standards to store designs.
- Build data driven scope of work with internal stake holders, focused on servicing operating stores.
- Develop FF&E and Décor packages.
- Work with key internal and external stakeholders in the development and production of comprehensive design development packages.
- Create presentation packages to communicate design with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
- Drive and create Schematic Design Packages.
- Coordinate with Construction, Procurement and Operations Teams on budget and schedule considerations and value engineering efforts.
- Manage consultants throughout all phases of design through the project lifecycle.
- Provide Construction Administrative support as needed.
- Archive completed drawings, redlines, and shop drawings.
- Obtain landlord approvals per lease requirements.
- Review and approves submittals and shop drawings
- Demonstrated ability in building and health codes, 3D visualization, and industry trends
- Communicate design vision in visual, written, and verbal formats.
- Manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills .
- Work effectively in an extremely fast paced, ambiguous environment.
