Netwealth is seeking a General Manager for Platform, Reliability, and Quality to lead a new, critical technology function. This role involves building and defining the strategy for cloud, infrastructure, SRE, Developer Platform, Quality Engineering, and Release Management. The objective is to create a product-like platform that empowers engineers with self-service capabilities, automates processes, embeds quality, and accelerates delivery, ultimately transforming engineering productivity and reliability.

The Opportunity
This is one of the most important technology leadership roles at Netwealth.
We're creating a brand-new Platform, Reliability and Quality function that brings together Cloud & Infrastructure, Site Reliability Engineering, Developer Platform, Quality Engineering, Environment Management and Release Management under one leader. Your mission is simple but ambitious: build the platform, tooling and automation that enable our engineers to deliver more value, faster and with greater confidence.
Reporting to the CTO, you'll lead a major transformation in how software is built and run at Netwealth. You'll treat the platform as a product, with engineers as your customers, creating a self-service engineering experience that embeds quality, accelerates delivery and makes the secure path the easy path.
This isn't a traditional infrastructure role or a cloud migration program. It's an opportunity to build a capability we don't have today. One that fundamentally changes engineering productivity and reliability across the organisation.

About You
You're a technology leader who has built platforms, not just operated them.
You understand that high-performing engineering organisations scale through automation, tooling, developer experience and modern ways of working, not simply by adding more engineers. You know how to create the conditions that enable teams to move quickly without compromising reliability, security or quality.
You've led large technology functions, delivered meaningful transformation, and successfully influenced senior stakeholders across engineering and business teams. You're equally comfortable discussing platform architecture, coaching leaders, managing budgets and driving strategic change.
