We are seeking an experienced Insurance and Claims professional to lead our Global Insurance team. Here you will take ownership of a complex, global insurance portfolio, being responsible for the placement, ongoing management, and claims handling for the overall global insurance programs in the DOF Group.

In this role, you will take full ownership of the Group’s global insurance programmes and claims handling, working across jurisdictions and complex risk profiles.  This is an opportunity to play a key part in supporting global offshore operations while developing your career in a growing, international organisation.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the placement and optimisation of global insurance programmes across marine and subsea operations
• Oversee claims strategy and management, ensuring effective resolution and value protection
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, influencing commercial and operational decisions
• Manage relationships with leading brokers, insurers, and P&I Clubs
• Continuously strengthen governance, policies, and best practice across the insurance function
  
  

You are a seasoned insurance professional who thrives in a complex, international environment and brings both technical expertise and commercial insight.

You will likely have:

• 10+ years’ experience in marine, offshore, or energy insurance
• Strong expertise in marine and subsea asset / project insurance programmes
• Proven track record in claims management and negotiation
• Experience working with global brokers, insurers, and insurance clubs
• A solid understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks relevant to maritime insurance, e.g. Nordic Marine Insurance Plan
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• The ability to operate independently, strategically, and at pace
• A background in law, marine insurance, or maritime/commercial disciplines is advantageous.
• Fluent in English

Location

This position will be based in Bergen or Storebø depending on the candidate.
