We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and organized Dietary Director to lead our dietary department in a welcoming assisted living community. Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the dietary department.
Plan, develop, and implement nutritious, appealing menus that meet residents' dietary needs and physician-ordered diets.
Supervise, train, and schedule dietary staff.
Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and local health and food safety regulations.
Maintain food quality, sanitation, and infection control standards.
Manage inventory, ordering, and department budgets.
Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare providers to accommodate special dietary requirements.
Foster a positive dining experience that enhances residents' quality of life.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Dietary Director, Food Service Manager, or similar leadership role in assisted living, long-term care, skilled nursing, or healthcare.
Knowledge of therapeutic diets and nutrition for older adults.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
ServSafe Certification (preferred or required, depending on state regulations).
Familiarity with state and federal dietary regulations.
Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, resident-focused environment.
