The Material Planner role at GM Egypt is an onsite, full-time position focused on ensuring material availability and optimizing inventory to support uninterrupted production. The planner will apply supply chain principles and GM Manufacturing System tools, acting as a liaison between purchasing, engineering, warehousing, logistics, and suppliers. Key responsibilities include managing SAP plans, resolving deviations, releasing delivery plans, analyzing material data, and mitigating supply risks. The role also involves following up on daily shortages, managing in-consignment materials, and reporting supplier KPIs.

The Role:
The Material Planner applies supply chain principles and GM Manufacturing System tools to ensure material availability, optimize inventory, and support uninterrupted production. The role independently leads planning and follow-up initiatives, acts as a liaison across purchasing, engineering, warehousing/manufacturing, logistics, and suppliers, and delivers measurable improvements in supply chain performance, responsiveness, and cost.
