The Product Owner is responsible for defining and executing the product roadmap for insurance applications, ensuring solutions align with business objectives, customer needs, and regulatory requirements. This role partners with business and IT stakeholders to deliver digital products.
The Job
Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Define and communicate the product vision, objectives, and roadmap aligned with business strategy.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and business value through digital solutions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into product initiatives and delivery plans.
- Prioritize features and enhancements based on business value, regulatory requirements, customer needs, and technical constraints.
Requirements Management
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Ensure requirements are clearly defined, prioritized, and understood by development teams.
- Validate solution designs to ensure alignment with business objectives and user needs.
- Manage scope changes and assess impacts on timelines, resources, and business outcomes.
Product Backlog Ownership
- Own and maintain the product backlog.
- Prioritize backlog items based on business value, dependencies, risks, and delivery capacity.
- Conduct backlog grooming and refinement sessions with stakeholders and delivery teams.
Agile Delivery & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of the digital products.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Make timely decisions on priorities, scope, and solution options to support project delivery.
- Facilitate alignment among business, channels, IT and Compliance/Risk stakeholders.
The Person
- Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or equivalent area.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Product Owner, Business Analyst, Digital Product Management, or related roles in Insurance industry.
- Experience in managing customer-facing Insurance applications will be an advantage.
- Effective communication and cross functional stakeholder management.
- Strong decision making, problem-solving and influencing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, detail-oriented and collaborative team player.
