Join Danfoss in Silkeborg and take ownership of our environmental performance in a highly automated production site. In this role, you will take ownership of our state of the art nickel-plating surface treatment line and wastewater treatment equipment while also acting as a key specialist for environmental compliance, permits, legislation, and site-wide environmental performance.
You will translate environmental goals into practical, measurable improvements—combining chemical process insight, data analysis, and close collaboration with Production Technology, QEHS, and Operations.
Your work directly supports the manufacturing of thermostats and valves used globally, while strengthening compliance and future-proofing the site’s environmental footprint in a facility committed to continuous improvement.
• Own and optimize the nickel-plating process to ensure reliable, safe, and high-quality production
• Improve production processes across the site to reduce energy use, emissions, hazardous chemicals, and waste
• Ensure regulatory compliance by maintaining permits, documentation, and readiness for audits and authorities
• Analyze environmental data to track performance and identify opportunities for footprint reduction
• Collaborate with QEHS and operations to eliminate risks and strengthen overall environmental and safety performance
• Background in chemical engineering, process engineering, or environmental science with focus on process optimization
• Ability to combine data analysis with hands-on implementation and structured documentation
• Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
• Strong collaboration and project management skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
• Fluency in Danish and English, both written and spoken
