This newly created role will be responsible for building the communications infrastructure, strategy, and narrative for Dow Jones Energy from the ground up. The Director will partner with Energy leadership and serve as a "player-coach," orchestrating global resources to execute high-impact campaigns. Key responsibilities include architecting a global communications strategy, positioning subject matter experts, translating complex data into compelling stories, building media relationships, and supporting internal communications to foster collaboration and growth. This role requires extensive B2B corporate communications experience, strong news judgment, and the ability to build processes in a dynamic environment.

About the Role:
We are seeking a strategic, dynamic leader for the newly created role of Director of Communications, Dow Jones Energy. This is a pivotal position during a period of significant growth and investment for our Energy business.
Dow Jones Energy is undergoing a multi-year transformation to grow market share across price reporting, news, research and events in the energy and environmental commodities space. As a key member of the global communications team, you will be responsible for building the communications infrastructure, strategy and narrative for this critical part of the Dow Jones portfolio from the ground up.
As Director, you will serve as the dedicated communications partner for Energy leadership and subject matter experts, while working closely with our London-based B2B Communications Director.
While this is an individual contributor role, you will act as a "player-coach," orchestrating resources from across our global communications team to execute high-impact campaigns. Your first year will focus on establishing the operational playbook, supporting the transformation of the business which will become a leader in the energy conversation globally.
You bring strong B2B experience, excellent news judgment and the ability to translate complex topics and datasets into clear, compelling narratives for external and internal audiences.
You will work in our London Bridge office 3 days each week.
