The Director, Strategic Initiatives in Canadian Marketing will report to the VP & Canada Chief Marketing Officer. This role is responsible for centralizing strategic planning, coordinating execution, and telling performance stories. Key duties include overseeing management processes, leading cross-functional projects, ensuring alignment across teams, and driving internal forums and events to bring strategy to life and strengthen culture. The role requires a strong strategic thinker with leadership and storytelling skills, capable of managing complex projects and stakeholders.

Job Description:
Role Summary
The Director, Strategic Initiatives, Canadian Marketing, will report directly to the VP & Canada Chief Marketing Officer, and will provide support for the Canadian Marketing Leadership Team. As a member of this leadership team, you will centralize and drive strategic planning, coordinated execution, and performance storytelling. You will oversee various management processes and lead priority cross-functional initiatives.
As the connector across Canada Marketing, you will ensure priorities are aligned, visible, and delivered efficiently while leading internal forums, events, and initiatives that bring our strategy to life, strengthen team culture, and enable collaboration. As a strategic thinker with strong leadership & story-telling skills, you will be capable of understanding all our businesses and managing multiple complex projects and stakeholders and collaborating across teams to achieve business objectives.
This is a fixed term role for approximately 15 months . it offers partial benefits and vacation days.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
