This is a <strong>internship/bachelor thesis position</strong> in process development for optical measurement technology. Located in Waldkirch (near Freiburg), Germany. The role involves research into the state-of-the-art in optical component measurement, planning and executing replication processes for optical components, and analyzing the resulting replicas using techniques like confocal laser scanning microscopy. You will compare original and replica measurements, investigate influencing factors, and evaluate the method's potential. Requires a degree in a natural science or engineering field (e.g., Materials Science, Physics, Engineering), interest in experimental lab work, basic understanding of measurement methods, good English skills, and strong analytical, teamwork, and communication abilities. This is a fixed-term position for 3 months, starting in the Winter Semester 2026/2027.
