Description

Role Purpose

The Visual Merchandising Executive is responsible for supporting the execution and maintenance of MY Premium Lifestyle Brand's visual merchandising standards across all retail channels in Malaysia. The role ensures that all retail displays, fixtures, point-of-sale materials (POSM), product demonstrations, and visual elements are consistently executed according to global and local guidelines to deliver a premium customer experience and maximize commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Visual Merchandising Operations

·       Execute and maintain visual merchandising standards across all retail touchpoints.

·       Ensure all retail environments are consistently aligned with brand visual merchandising guidelines and brand standards.

·       Conduct regular store visits to monitor compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.

·       Support the implementation of merchandising updates, seasonal campaigns, product launches, and retail activations.

2. POSM & Merchandising Asset Management

·       Assist in forecasting, ordering, tracking, and deployment of point-of-sale materials (POSM), display fixtures, graphics, and merchandising assets.

·       Ensure timely distribution and installation of merchandising materials across all retail locations.

·       Maintain accurate inventory records of visual merchandising assets and materials.

·       Coordinate replenishment and replacement of damaged or outdated merchandising materials.

3. Product Launches & Retail Activations

·       Support the execution of visual merchandising plans for new product launches, promotional campaigns, and retail events.

·       Ensure launch displays, product showcases, and promotional materials are installed according to approved guidelines.

·       Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely implementation across all retail locations.

·       Assist in monitoring launch execution quality and provide feedback for continuous improvement.

4. Store Audits & Maintenance

·            Conduct regular retail audits to ensure displays, fixtures, lighting, digital screens, and merchandising elements are in excellent condition.

·            Ensure product displays, demonstration units, and retail fixtures are properly maintained and operational.

·            Report maintenance issues and coordinate repairs or replacements where necessary.

·            Monitor competitor retail environments and provide insights on merchandising trends and best practices.

5. Planograms & Display Management

·            Support the preparation and implementation of product planograms and display layouts.

·            Ensure products, demo units, accessories, and merchandising elements are displayed correctly and in accordance with approved layouts.

·            Work closely with Retail Operations and Sales teams to optimize product visibility and customer experience.

6. Reporting & Administration

·            Prepare and submit regular store audit reports, merchandising updates, and photographic compliance reports.

·            Maintain accurate records of merchandising activities, POSM deployment, and project timelines.

·            Support ad hoc reporting requirements from local and regional stakeholders.

·            Assist in coordinating vendor quotations, purchase orders, and invoice processing related to visual merchandising activities.

·     Diploma or Degree in Visual Merchandising, Interior Design, Retail Design, Marketing, or a related field.

·     1–3 years of experience in visual merchandising, retail operations, trade marketing, or related functions.

·     Experience within the luxury, lifestyle brands, electronics, premium consumer brand, and retail industry is an advantage.

·     Strong understanding of retail environments and visual merchandising principles.

·     Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or InDesign is an added advantage.

·     Strong organisational and coordination skills with attention to detail.

·     Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
