Description

Jacobian is an AI-powered medical reporting company on a mission to empower radiologists — combining market-leading speech recognition, structured clinical reporting, and generative AI to help clinicians work faster, more consistently, and without disruption.

We're looking for a QA Engineer to own quality across our software platform. You will work at the intersection of test architecture, developer collaboration, and continuous delivery — designing automation frameworks, driving quality processes within agile teams, and setting the bar for what "done" means.

Hybrid · Munich, Germany · Full-time

What you'll be doing

Test design & automation

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress and TypeScript with a BDD framework
  • Create and maintain manual and automated test cases across all test levels — component, integration, and end-to-end
  • Perform exploratory testing and drive thorough test coverage across frontend and backend services
  • Implement test design patterns such as Page Objects to ensure maintainability and scalability
  • Leverage AI tooling — including internal MCP integrations — to accelerate test generation, coverage analysis, and defect triage; contribute to building AI-assisted QA agents as part of our quality automation roadmap

Quality processes & collaboration

  • Ensure high software quality within scrum teams by establishing QA processes and working closely with developers and product owners
  • Lead and participate in three-amigos sessions to define clear, testable acceptance criteria
  • Drive continuous improvement of QA methodologies and best practices to improve testing effectiveness across the organisation

Reporting & documentation

  • Manage test cases, test plans, and execution cycles in Xray, keeping coverage and traceability aligned with requirements
  • Document and report defects with accurate, detailed descriptions using designated bug tracking tools
  • Generate comprehensive test reports, metrics, and documentation for stakeholders and project teams
  • Maintain testing procedures, test plans, and verification documents in line with project requirements

Mentorship & knowledge sharing

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior QA team members, fostering a culture of learning and quality ownership

Who are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong background in manual and automated testing methodologies
  • 2+ years of hands-on test automation experience; 1+ years with TypeScript specifically
  • In-depth knowledge of SDLC, testing processes, and Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Proficiency with test automation frameworks such as Cypress or Playwright
  • Hands-on experience across end-to-end UI testing, REST API testing, boundary testing, and frontend/backend service testing
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline integration and testing in tools like GitLab
  • BDD experience with Cucumber and associated best practices
  • Involved in the design phase of testing frameworks, including requirements analysis and gap identification
  • Hands-on experience with test management tooling (Xray or comparable) and a working familiarity with AI-assisted QA workflows, including agent-based and MCP integrations
  • Strong documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Fluent English, both spoken and written
  • We're a fast-growing, AI-driven medical software company in the wake of a recent merger — this is a pivotal moment to join and help shape the next chapter of diagnostic reporting
  • You'll be joining a highly skilled, international team spread across multiple regions, made up of people who are invested in doing great work and in each other's success
  • Flexible working hours and hybrid work arrangement
  • A competitive compensation and benefits package
  • Individual development budget to support your professional growth
  • Jobticket, Jobrad, and further Benefits

We are looking forward to getting to know you!
