Hope Services is seeking an Electronic Health Record Administrator in San Jose, CA. This full-time role involves overseeing the security and administration of the EHR database, including software management, system performance, code updates, staff training, and IT liaison. Responsibilities include creating and modifying forms and reports (Avatar, Crystal Reports, Microsoft Access), programming using Visual Basic, managing database connectivity (ODBC), updating Avatar software, providing staff support, correcting errors, and handling billing and audits. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, knowledge of C, SQL, database administration, EHR systems, and at least 3 years of experience in database administration environments. A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is preferred.
To oversee the security and administration of the EHR database, including managing software and systems performance issues, updating code, training staff on utilization, and liaison with agency IT systems administration and software support.

Must be personable and professional, with excellent oral and written communication skills. Must have knowledge of: C language, database administration, SQL knowledge required, EHR systems with existing and changing technical standards, best practices, and browser compatibility issues. Must have command over required code. Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects concurrently. At least 3 years of experience working in database admin environments. Computer competence in Microsoft and web-based software required. Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences or related field preferred. Environmental Conditions Primarily an office environment. Long periods of sitting and computer use. Time spent on the telephone and in meetings varies. Some early morning, evening and work hours may be required.
