Overview of the role:
As a Master Data Governance Sr Manager at Saputo, you lead and manage all organization-wide master data governance activities and have responsibility for improving the quality of the data and enabling the organization to leverage it as an enterprise asset.

How you will make contributions that matter:
Reporting to the IT Director, Master Data Shared Services and working collaboratively with diverse cross-functional teams, the IT Sr Manager, Master Data Governance oversees the execution of master data governance activities across all Saputo global divisions. This includes governing critical enterprise data domains (e.g., core master data, supply chain and operational data, and other key business data assets) to ensure consistency, quality, and enable trusted, data-driven insights across the organization. This work includes:
- Managing a team, setting, and reviewing annual goals, assigning project responsibilities, coaching performance and supporting growth, and creating the conditions for a positive, high-performing team to thrive.
- Establishing and governing an enterprise master data governance implementation roadmap.
- Establishing and implementing a comprehensive, enterprise-wide framework for master data governance, equipped with the necessary tools. This framework is primarily aimed at enhancing data quality and safeguarding sensitive information.
- Facilitate the definition of roles and responsibilities related to master data governance and ensuring clear accountability for stewardship of the company’s global master data.
- Facilitate the development and implementation of master data quality standards, data protection standards and adoption requirements across the enterprise.
- Defining indicators of performance (KPIs) and quality metrics and monitoring compliance with standards and policies.
- Establishing and performing data quality controls to ensure data is accurate and reliable.
- Establishing governance training programs and awareness for employees.
- Leading the global Master Data Governance council and other data governance committees and work groups (e.g. Operations, BI, etc.)
- Collaborating with other teams to implement and leverage an AI-enabled data quality tool that supports master data governance, data transformation, and broader data governance activities where AI can improve quality, automation, and decision-making.
- Staying up to date with industry trends and regulations related to data governance.
You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in master data governance, master data management, or related roles.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in SAP Master Data (e.g. Material, Vendor, Customer and GL)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing and coaching a team.
- Strong knowledge of data governance principles, best practices, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in data modeling, data profiling, and data quality assessment.
- Experience with data governance tools and technologies (e.g., SAP MDG, SAP Data Services, Info-Steward, Collibra, Informatica, etc.)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) is a plus.
- Able to operate in a complex, fast-paced environment with interdependencies spanning multiple work-streams, teams, business functions, geographies, time zones, & language.
- Ability to work independently ensuring alignment to our IT strategy.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor’s degree in information management, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience in the consumer-packaged goods industry is considered an asset.
As part of his duties, the incumbent will have to communicate and collaborate in English, both orally and in writing with colleagues or other stakeholders in Quebec as well as in the rest of Canada or in North America.

Salary: $106,870 to $140,270
