We’re looking for an experienced Desktop Engineer / EUC Engineer to support a fast-paced IT environment on a short-term 10-week contract based in Croydon.
This is an immediate start opportunity, ideal for someone hands-on, proactive, and comfortable working in a dynamic support environment.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Provide 2nd line desktop support across a Windows-based environment
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues relating to:
- Windows 10/11 OS
- Microsoft Office / M365 applications
- Hardware (laptops, desktops, peripherals)
- Carry out desktop builds, imaging, and deployments
- Support user onboarding and offboarding (joiners, movers, leavers)
- Manage incidents and requests via a ticketing system, ensuring SLA adherence
- Assist with device refresh and rollout activities
- Work closely with IT teams to escalate and resolve complex issues
🛠️ Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in a Desktop Support / End User Computing (EUC) role
- Strong knowledge of:
- Windows OS (10/11)
- Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, etc.)
- Experience with Active Directory (user account management, group policies)
- Familiarity with imaging tools (e.g. SCCM, Intune, MDT)
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service approach
💡 Desirable
- Experience with Intune / Autopilot deployments
- Knowledge of network basics (VPN, Wi-Fi, connectivity troubleshooting)
- Previous experience in a fast-paced or project-driven environment
