KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Assist in preparation for group reporting submission on monthly / quarterly and annually
- Assist in preparation for management account, consolidation accounts, regulatory reporting forms on monthly/quarterly/semi-annual/annual.
- Assist in performing balance sheets reconciliation for local and group ledger
- Maintain and manage Chart of Accounts (CoA) mapping, review account posting rules, financial statements, and reports proforma and disclosure requirements development
- Support the Oracle system enhancements by providing accounting and finance related requirements
- Key preparer and in charge of quarterly provisional tax computation for group reporting
- Support in all tax related matters
- Reviewer to oversee the daily management activities, investment trades, daily IL NAV computation, dealing with external custodian/fund manager
- Intercompany cost allocation, recharges and reconciliation
- Attend to any ad-hoc request / new tax initiative initiates by local RMCD and IRB.
- Communicate with the relevant stakeholders to ensure the group and local statutory reporting figures are reconciled
- Constantly identify the gap and provide alternative solutions / system enhancement to incorporate the reporting requirements
- Assist in providing guidance and training to other team members
- Develop, document and maintain SOPs and knowledge base for the team
- Supports in Fixed Assets, Leases, Account receivable related matters
JOB REQUIREMENT
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting or recognised accounting professional qualification
- 3-5 years' working experience in takaful / insurance industry or accounting firm specialization in external audit in insurance / financial institution field
- Possess knowledge in MFRS/IFRS Accounting Standards. IFRS 17 & 9 preferrable.
- Demonstrable experience in handing current potential issues
- Mitigate the risk of misstatement by implementing more control and improvement
- Solid communication skills with proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Independent, committed, proactive, possess initiative and willing to learn attitude
