Description
The Engineer Intmd Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for a variety of engineering activities including the design, acquisition and development of hardware, software and network infrastructure in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to ensure quality standards are being met within existing and planned frameworks.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with certifying Process Automation tools
- Explore opportunity to automate & improve application performance
- Assist with POCs for various alternative solutions and evaluate the most efficient
- Capture and document technical functional and non-functional requirements
- Provide ongoing support for new technology tools and perform advisory of the topology
- Provide assistance to the technology subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders and provide
- direction for all firm mandated controls and compliance initiatives, all projects within the group and in creating
- a technology domain roadmap
- Ensure that integration of functions meet policies and standards
- Define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process enhancements
- Recommend product customization for system integration
- Identify problem causality, business impact and root causes
- Exhibit knowledge of how own specialty area contributes to the business and apply knowledge of
- competitors, products and services
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the
- firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable
- laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior,
- conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 4-7 years of relevant experience in DevOps / Platform Engineering / Infrastructure
- Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift administration and operations
- Strong expertise in Docker and Kubernetes (container orchestration)
- Proven experience in migrating enterprise applications to OpenShift / container platforms
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Harness, and GitHub
- Strong experience with Helm charts, Operators, and Kubernetes manifests
- Hands-on experience in container image management
- Strong knowledge of Linux system administration and scripting (Bash/YAML)
- Experience implementing DevSecOps practices and security controls
- Familiarity with enterprise application platforms (Appian, Boardwalk, or similar)
- Experience with production support, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
- Experience working in regulated / enterprise environments with compliance requirements
- Build automation tool: Maven
- Code Quality & Security: SonarQube
- Monitoring & Observability: Prometheus, Grafana
- Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global environment
- Project Management experience
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities and related reporting to
- identify best practices
- Demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills
- Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams
- Ability to, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative
- Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or
- requirements
- Proven track record of operational process change and improvement
