Airbus Commercial is looking for a HR Business Partner I to join our team based in Mobile, Alabama.
The HR Business Partner I contributes to organizational success by providing tactical consultation as well as strategically aligning HR initiatives with overall business objectives, acting as an advocate for employees, supporting management growth, fostering employee well being and acting as a catalyst for change. This role supports the optimization of business performance by translating people strategy into actionable priorities.

Nearby on ‘Airbus Way’ you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. Drive High Quality Customer Service, Support Employee Relations,

- Deliver high quality customer focused service.
- Actively engage and listen to employees, responding appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Providing leadership on HR best practices, fostering their capability in managing personnel matters, including legal and ethical compliance.
- Champion and demonstrate a high level of personal integrity and ethics.
- Guide and support employees in their career journeys, translating development goals into tangible progress.
Talent Management: 25%
- Engage in workforce planning and development initiatives.
- Contribute to strategic headcount and talent development efforts.
- Support initiatives for workforce sizing and capability enhancement
- Facilitate the integration of new employees.
- Contribute to a smooth onboarding experience for new team members.
Change Management, Implementation of HR Projects, Programs and
Processes: 20%
- Support innovative solutions and foster creative problem-solving to spearhead change management efforts, ensuring seamless transitions for teams.
- Interpret and cascade relevant business information to the COE for creation of design solutions.
- Act as a conduit between COE and our end-users. The HRBPs role is to understand the business and then help the COEs understand it as well.
- Proactively identify and address potential resistance to change, considering the organizational culture and business landscape.
- Build strong interpersonal connections to gather feedback and cultivate organizational buy-in.

Your Boarding Pass:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or combination of education and appropriate work experience.
- 3 years of progressive HR experience in a CoE or generalist role.
- Experience with HRIS tools like ADP, Workday or SAP.
- 2 years of experience in Aerospace.(preferred)
- 1 year of experience working in a multi-functional international environment.(preferred)
- PHR, SPHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 15%
- Authorized to Work in the US
Physical Requirements
- Onsite: 100%
- Vision: Daily able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings.
- Hearing: Daily able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms.
- Speaking: Daily able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications.
- Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): Daily able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts.
- Carrying: Rarely able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
- Lifting: Rarely able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
- Pushing / Pulling: Rarely able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools.
- Sitting: Daily able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer.
- Squatting / Kneeling: Rarely able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.
- Standing: Daily able to stand for discussions in offices or on production floor.
- Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): Daily able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
