Whether you're building smarter solutions, supporting customers, or creating a space where everyone belongs, you’ll do meaningful work with Workmates who’ve got your back. In return, we’ll give you the trust to take risks, the tools to grow, the skills to develop and the support of a company invested in you for the long haul. So, if you want to inspire a brighter work day for everyone, including yourself, you’ve found a match in Workday, and we hope to be a match for you too.

About the Team

As Principal EMEA Events and Experience Marketing Manager, you’ll be a senior individual contributor shaping how Workday shows up across the region. You’ll design and lead a strategic portfolio of events and experiences – from Workday Rising EMEA to regional, executive, and partner engagements – that deepen relationships with customers and prospects, build our brand, and support pipeline and revenue goals.
You’ll partner closely with EMEA Marketing, Sales, and Global Experience Marketing to turn business objectives into insight-led, measurable programs across live, digital, and hybrid formats. While you won’t manage a team directly, you’ll lead through influence – orchestrating cross-functional stakeholders, agencies, and partners to deliver standout, inclusive experiences “the Workday way.”

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the events and experience strategy for a defined EMEA portfolio, aligned to regional business priorities and target segments.
• Lead end-to-end planning and execution for major programs (e.g., Workday Rising EMEA, partner summits, executive forums, customer councils), from concept and content through to delivery.
• Build robust project plans and governance, managing timelines, budgets, risks, and stakeholder communication across multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Oversee complex logistics and production (venue strategy, contracts, staffing, registration, sponsorship, technical production, speaker and vendor management) through agencies and partners.
• Collaborate with Field/Regional Marketing, ABM, Product & Industry Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Alliances to integrate events into broader go-to-market and account plans.
• Define and track clear success measures (pipeline and revenue impact, engagement metrics, NPS/CSAT, attendee feedback), using insights to optimise and scale best practices across markets.
• Champion innovation and inclusion in how we design experiences, introducing new ideas, formats, and technologies that differentiate Workday in the market.

About You

Basic Qualifications

•10+ years of experience in B2B event and/or experience marketing, conference production, or integrated field marketing, ideally in a high-growth, global SaaS or technology environment.
• Proven track record leading complex, multi-country customer and prospect programs (e.g., flagship conferences, regional summits, executive experiences) with measurable business outcomes.
• Experience operating as a senior individual contributor and strategic partner to marketing and commercial leaders.

Other Qualifications

• Proficient in core productivity and collaboration tools (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace) and familiar with modern event and digital experience platforms.

• Deep operational expertise in logistics, production, vendor and agency management, budgeting, and contract oversight, with a focus on quality and cost-effectiveness.

Our Approach to Flexible Work

With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.

At Workday, we are committed to providing an accessible and inclusive hiring experience where all candidates can fully demonstrate their skills. If you require assistance or an accommodation at any point, please email accommodations@workday.com.
