Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Specialist Orthopedic Surgeon to join our leading healthcare facility. The successful candidate will provide high-quality orthopedic care, including diagnosis, treatment, and surgical management of musculoskeletal conditions. This role requires strong clinical expertise, excellent surgical skills, and a patient-focused approach to delivering comprehensive orthopedic services.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of orthopedic conditions affecting bones, joints, muscles, ligaments, and tendons.
- Perform orthopedic surgical procedures according to clinical expertise and patient requirements.
- Develop comprehensive treatment plans based on patient evaluation, imaging findings, and evidence-based clinical guidelines.
- Manage acute injuries, fractures, sports injuries, degenerative joint conditions, and musculoskeletal disorders.
- Perform pre-operative assessments, surgical procedures, and post-operative follow-up care.
- Interpret diagnostic investigations, including X-rays, MRI, CT scans, and other relevant studies.
- Provide conservative and surgical treatment options tailored to individual patient needs.
- Collaborate with physiotherapists, radiologists, pain specialists, rehabilitation teams, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and contribute to optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, procedures, recovery expectations, and preventive care.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement programs, and departmental meetings.
- Support training and knowledge-sharing activities for junior medical staff when required.
- Maintain the highest standards of patient safety, medical ethics, and clinical excellence.
- Medical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Completion of recognized postgraduate training in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Board Certification, Fellowship, or equivalent specialist qualification in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of post-specialty clinical experience in orthopedic surgery.
- Strong experience in diagnosing and managing a broad range of orthopedic conditions.
- Proven surgical expertise in relevant orthopedic procedures.
- Experience in trauma, joint disorders, sports injuries, or reconstructive orthopedic surgery is preferred.
- Excellent clinical judgment, surgical skills, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
