We are seeking a BIM Modeller Intern to join our team. This role involves assisting in the preparation and development of 3D BIM models for plumbing systems using Revit, producing various types of shop drawings, and ensuring adherence to project standards. The intern will also support coordination efforts with consultants and trades, assist in updating BIM models based on project requirements, and support submission documentation. A secondary scope includes assisting the site team with basic coordination, checking drawing discrepancies, and participating in site visits.
BIM Modeller Intern (3/6/12 months)
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and developing 3D BIM models for plumbing systems using Revit.
- Produce shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings.
- Update and modify BIM models based on project requirements.
- Ensure drawings follow project standards and BIM guidelines.
- Assist in coordination with consultants and other trades to resolve drawing issues.
- Support submission drawings and documentation.
Site Coordination (Secondary Scope):
- Assist the site team in basic coordination when required.
- Support in checking drawing discrepancies and updating models accordingly.
- Participate in site visits to understand project conditions.
Requirements:
- Must be able to use Revit at a basic to intermediate level.
- Able to produce BIM drawings and perform 3D modelling work.
- Diploma or Degree in Construction, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD is an advantage.
- Willing to learn and able to work independently with guidance.
- Good attitude and attention to detail.
