The Australian Indigenous Governance Institute (AIGI) seeks a Head of Advisory (Partnership & Impact) to lead its advisory services, strategic partnerships, and impact practice. This role involves developing opportunities, strengthening relationships with key stakeholders, and leading a team of Project Specialists and Officers. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in advisory, business development, or related fields, with a strong ability to build relationships with Indigenous organisations, government, and corporate partners. Experience in proposal development, project delivery oversight, and staff leadership is also essential.

THE OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Advisory (Partnership & Impact) to join our team, reporting to the Executive Director Business Development & Delivery. This role leads AIGI's advisory services, strategic partnerships, impact practice, major events and advisory growth pipeline.
You will develop and convert values-aligned opportunities, strengthen relationships with partners, funders and clients, and provide direct leadership to our Project Specialists and Project Officers, ensuring advisory work and partnerships are culturally grounded, sustainable and aligned with AIGI's strategy.

You bring strong commercial instincts, exceptional writing and negotiation skills, and the confidence to lead complex, bespoke engagements from proposal through to delivery.
You lead with warmth and accountability, genuinely invest in the growth of your team, and understand the importance of culturally safe and respectful engagement in everything you do. You are comfortable holding strategic oversight of high-profile initiatives, while empowering others to lead day-to-day delivery.
