Overview

  • Serves as the strategic authority for the development, governance, and implementation of MMC
  • solutions across Client’s building program, ensuring that MMC becomes a driver of productivity, quality, sustainability, and workforce optimization.
  • Possesses deep expertise in all MMC categories, including volumetric modular, panelized systems, DfMA (Design for Manufacture & Assembly), robotics, digital construction, and advanced prefabrication techniques.
  • Leads global scanning of MMC innovations, materials science, and industrialized construction technologies, evaluating their applicability to Qatar’s building sector.
  • Advises senior leadership on transformational interventions and regulatory adaptations needed to accelerate MMC adoption, aligning with national strategies, sustainability targets, and workforce localization goals.
  • Acts as Client’s primary knowledge hub and ambassador for MMC in buildings — driving policy dialogue, supporting Client’s international partnerships, and ensuring Client’s position as a regional leader in construction technology transformation.

Your role

  • Lead the development of MMC strategies for building projects, ensuring alignment with Client’s construction objectives.
  • Conduct gap analyses and identify areas for MMC adoption within Client’s building portfolio.
  • Advise on modular construction, prefabrication, and offsite construction methods to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Facilitate international benchmarking and knowledge exchange for MMC best practices.
  • Collaborate with design teams to integrate MMC concepts from project inception to completion.
  • Support the development of policies and standards that encourage MMC adoption in Qatar.
  • Conduct risk assessments and feasibility studies for MMC integration.
  • Engage with technology providers to assess innovations for Client’s projects.

About you

Mandatory requirements

  • University degree from a recognised university in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Chartered status or Professional License from internationally recognized professional institutions or organizations.
  • Minimum of 20 years postgraduate experience with experience in major infrastructure projects or programmes, preference will be given to roads, aviation, structures or rail related experience, 10 years in similar position, and 5 years in Qatar and / or the Gulf region.

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.

Skills and Competencies

  • Proven success in delivering large, complex, multi-disciplinary building programs using
  • MMC and integrated project delivery models.
  • Mastery of DfMA principles, industrialized construction supply chains, modular logistics
  • planning, and assembly sequencing.
  • Expertise in BIM, digital twins, and automated fabrication data flows, ensuring seamless integration between digital design and off-site production.
  • Advanced ability to conduct macro- and micro-level market assessments, financial modeling, and cost–benefit analyses for MMC adoption.
  • Capability to shape policies, technical standards, and approval frameworks for MMC compliance, safety, and quality assurance.
  • Experience in establishing public–private partnerships (PPP) and industry alliances to develop
  • modular manufacturing capacity, including local SME engagement.
  • Strong skills in benchmarking and knowledge transfer, leading international missions, compiling lessons learned, and implementing global best practices.
  • Skilled communicator and negotiator, capable of aligning architects, engineers, contractors, regulators, and end-users around innovative MMC solutions.
