About the Role
Key Responsibilities
• Investigate security events, identify root causes, and support incident response and containment activities
• Implement and maintain network security solutions such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and endpoint protection
• Support SOC operations including use-case development, log analysis, and tuning to reduce false positives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen detection capabilities and improve incident response processes
• Conduct threat hunting and vulnerability analysis to proactively identify potential risks
• Document incidents, procedures, and technical configurations to support knowledge sharing and compliance
• Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and cyber defense maturity enhancements
Required Qualifications
• 2–6 years of experience in network security, SOC operations, or cybersecurity-related roles
• Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar) and security monitoring workflows
• Knowledge of network security concepts such as TCP/IP, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and secure network architecture
• Understanding of incident response lifecycle, threat detection, and vulnerability management
• Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, MITRE ATT&CK)
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
• Exposure to threat intelligence platforms and threat hunting methodologies
• Relevant certifications such as Security+, CEH, CySA+, GCIH, or equivalent
• Experience in automation or scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for security operations
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
