Are you passionate about animals and looking for a part-time opportunity in veterinary medicine? We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Veterinary Kennel Assistant to help provide exceptional care for our patients and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in gaining hands-on experience in veterinary medicine while working with a variety of species, including dogs, cats, birds, exotic pets, and pocket pets.

Schedule
  •  Saturday: 2–4 hours
  •  Sunday: 2–4 hours
  •  Monday: 10 hours
  •  Wednesday: 4 hours
Total Weekly Hours: Approximately 18–22 hours

  • Clean and disinfect kennels, cages, treatment areas, and hospital facilities
  • Feed, water, and provide basic care for hospitalized and boarding patients
  • Walk dogs and monitor patient comfort and well-being
  • Assist veterinary technicians and veterinarians with patient care tasks as directed.
  • Launder bedding, restock supplies, and maintain organization throughout the hospital
  • Observe and report changes in patient behavior, appetite, or condition
  • Help ensure a safe, clean, and stress-free environment for all animals

What We're Looking For
  •  Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  •  Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
  •  Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
  •  Comfortable working around animals of all sizes, temperaments, and species
  •  Knowledge of animal care is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate
  •  Interest in learning about veterinary medicine and animal husbandry
  •  Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically active work throughout the shift

Preferred Qualifications

  •  Previous experience in animal care, veterinary medicine, boarding facilities, shelters, or pet care services
  •  Familiarity with caring for dogs, cats, avian species, exotic animals, reptiles, and pocket pets
  •  Strong communication and teamwork skills
