Ascendis Pharma is a global biopharmaceutical company committed to making a meaningful difference in patients’ lives. Guided by our core values of Patients, Science, and Passion, we are applying our innovative TransCon® technology platform to fulfill our mission of developing new therapies that demonstrate best-in-class potential to address unmet medical needs.

At our headquarters in Hellerup, Denmark, research facilities in Heidelberg, Germany, and additional offices across Europe and the United States, we are advancing programs in our Endocrinology Rare Disease and Oncology portfolios. We also collaborate with partners on the development of TransCon-based products in other therapeutic areas and markets.

We are looking for a passionate Manager, Sales & Operations Planning to join our growing organization. As a key member of S&OP and Systems team you will play a central role in facilitating and continuously improving our global planning processes, ensuring alignment between demand, supply, inventory, and financial objectives across our rapidly growing business.

You will work closely with colleagues in the team ensuring robust process ownership, effective knowledge sharing, and business continuity across our most critical planning processes. Together, you will facilitate Ascendis Pharma's quarterly S&OP process and monthly S&OE process while partnering with stakeholders across Commercial, Finance, and Global Supply Chain.

A key component of the role is working with Maestro, Ascendis Pharma's strategic planning platform, where supply and demand scenarios are modelled, evaluated, and translated into business recommendations. Through scenario planning and simulation, you will help assess inventory risks, supply constraints, capacity requirements, and long-term business opportunities, supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization.

You will be joining the Sales & Operations Planning & Systems team and report directly to Senior Director, Sales & Operations Planning & Systems, based in Hellerup, Denmark. The position is based in Hellerup, Denmark.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Facilitate and continuously improve our quarterly global S&OP process
  • Drive and coordinate the monthly S&OE process to improve forecast accuracy, inventory performance, and short-term supply reliability
  • Conduct demand and supply scenario simulations in Maestro to support strategic and tactical decision-making related to inventory, capacity, supply risks, and future growth.
  • Develop planning analyses, KPI reporting, executive presentations, and decision materials supporting management and leadership decision-making.
  • Drive continuous improvements within planning processes, analytics, reporting capabilities, and planning systems to support operational excellence across the Supply Chain organization.

Qualifications and Skills

You hold a relevant academic degree – preferably a Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field – and have experience within Supply Chain Planning, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, S&OP, Integrated Business Planning, or Supply Chain Excellence.

Furthermore, you have:

  • Experience facilitating cross-functional planning processes such as S&OP, S&OE, IBP, Demand Planning, or Supply Planning.
  • Strong analytical skills and a passion for translating data into business insights and recommendations.
  • Experience working with planning systems, ERP solutions, and analytical tools such as Power BI and Excel.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build alignment across Commercial, Finance, and Supply Chain functions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate complex topics to senior stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

It will be considered a significant advantage if you have experience with Maestro (Kinaxis) or similar advanced planning platforms such as SAP IBP, OMP, Blue Yonder, o9, Anaplan, or equivalent strategic planning solutions.

Experience with scenario-based planning, inventory optimization, supply and demand balancing, and long-term capacity planning is highly desirable, as these activities form a core part of the role and support the decision-making process within Ascendis Pharma

Key Competencies

You are a strong team player, analytical, and have a can-do attitude.

You possess an entrepreneurial mindset and thrive in an informal, open environment where innovation and change are key.

To succeed in this role, we also expect you to be:

  • A strong facilitator who can build alignment across multiple functions and stakeholders.
  • Proactive, structured, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Curious and improvement-oriented, with a passion for developing processes and finding smarter ways of working.

Why Join Ascendis Pharma?

This is a unique opportunity to become one of the key drivers of Ascendis Pharma's global planning processes. You will gain broad exposure across the organization, work directly with senior stakeholders, and play an important role in supporting future product launches, supply chain strategy, and business growth.

At the same time, you will work with modern planning practices and advanced scenario modelling in Maestro, helping shape how Ascendis Pharma makes critical supply and demand decisions in an increasingly complex global environment.
