Greenvolt is looking for an In-House Legal Counsel to join our Legal Department and be responsible for the following tasks:
- Supporting renewable energy projects in Portugal and other jurisdictions;
- Interacting with various regulatory entities, particularly in licensing procedures for photovoltaic solar and wind projects, biomass plants, energy communities, ACC, and ACI;
- Analyzing, drafting, and negotiating a wide range of contracts;
- Preparing legal opinions on topics related to different areas of law;
- Monitoring judicial and administrative proceedings;
- Prepare, review, and implement internal procedures and guidelines to ensure compliance with applicable legislation and company standards;
- Assisting with financing processes and guarantees matters, including reviewing and negotiating related documentation with financial institutions.
Profile:
- Law degree from a reputable university;
- Admission to the Portuguese Bar Association;
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in these areas (relevant experience in Corporate, Energy, and/or Finance will be valued);
- Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus);
- Strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills;
- Solid legal knowledge across multiple areas of law, particularly commercial and corporate law, civil law, and energy law;
- Teamwork skills, resilience, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities.
