The Analytical Development group at Pfizer is seeking a highly motivated Senior Associate Scientist to join their team. This role involves developing analytical assays to support vaccine portfolios and critical reagents. The scientist will collaborate with early bio-process development teams, design and implement cell-based potency assays, and participate in vaccine development meetings. Responsibilities include laboratory-based assay development (ELISA, cell-based), performing in-vitro expression analysis, analyzing data with statistical software like GraphPad Prism and SoftMax, and documenting experiments in an electronic lab notebook. The position requires proficiency in analytical software, mammalian cell culture, DNA/RNA transfection, and reporter cell assays, as well as knowledge of immunity.
What You Will Achieve
This laboratory-based position is in the Analytical Development group within Vaccines. The primary functions of this role are to develop analytical assays in support of the extensive vaccine portfolio and to support the Critical Reagents tasks. The individual will collaborate closely with scientists across the Early BioProcess Development (EBPD) to design and implement cell-based potency assays for multiple vaccine programs. The individual will participate in regular vaccine development meetings and represent the group on multidisciplinary teams.
