McGill University is seeking a Communications Associate to support the Future Students Unit's mission. Responsibilities include managing social media, email marketing, graphic design, web content, and multimedia production. The role involves client consultations, content strategy development, writing, editing, and proofreading marketing materials. The associate will also assist with website and social media updates, and collaborate with marketing specialists. A bilingual proficiency in English and French is required, with strong French writing skills being an asset. Experience in public relations, marketing, higher education, or email marketing is preferred. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office Suite is also an asset.

Position Summary
Under the direction of the Manager, Communications and Strategic Initiatives: support communication services consistent with the Future Students Unit’s mission and objectives, including social media, email marketing, translation, graphic design, web and multimedia. Assist in the design, editing, and production of marketing and communications materials. Offer multimedia support including photography and videography. Create and maintain digital communication platforms (web and social media).

Self-directed work habits, exhibiting initiative, drive, creativity, attention to detail, self-assurance, professionalism, and ability to meet strict deadlines. Analytical mind and excellent communication skills. Bilingual in English and French. Exceptional French language writing and editing skills an asset. Experience working in public relations, marketing, or higher education, an asset. Experience working in email marketing, promotional writing, content optimization (SEO), and/or photography, an asset. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop is an asset as well as all Microsoft Office Suite products. Demonstrated photography and/or videography skills is an asset. Graphic design experience is an asset.
