The School of Continuing Education is seeking a Senior Human Resources Officer in Hong Kong. The School of Continuing Education, one of the seven Faculties/Schools of the University and a major provider of continuing and professional education in Hong Kong, offers a wide range of full-time and part-time programmes at the post-secondary, undergraduate and postgraduate levels for young learners and working adults. It also offers in-house training and short courses to meet the community needs and market demands. Operated on a self-financed basis, the School and its College of International Education currently employ about 400 full-time staff and 550 part-time instructors. The School is inviting applications for the following position:
Senior Human Resources Officer (26270022)
The School aims to complete registration as a post-secondary college within one or two years, committed to enhancing the internationalisation and diversification of higher education, and developing distinctive and professional programmes that address the manpower needs of society. Once this strategic development is solidified, it is planned that the role will evolve with a long-term prospect.
The appointee will be assigned to the Human Resources Section of the School to perform core human resources functions, including but not limited to supporting recruitment activities, staff training and development, benefits administration, and compiling reports. The appointee will be required to support the development and implementation of HR technology solutions to streamline processes and perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Applicants should possess (a) a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related disciplines; (b) at least three years of HR operations experience; (c) effective communication and interpersonal skills; and (d) excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese. Competency in computing applications and data extraction, processing and analysis are essential. Preference will be given to those with proficiency in HRMS platforms and data migration tools.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract ending in August 2027. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
