“Rakuten Fashion” is a fashion e-commerce site offering a wide selection of popular brands.

While “Rakuten Ichiba” is a marketplace-style business that provides a platform for merchants to sell their own products, “Rakuten Fashion” is a direct-to-consumer business in which Rakuten itself selects and sources brands and products, and handles everything from marketing and sales to shipping and customer support under one roof.

Position Details

You will be responsible for all aspects of merchandising (MD) and sales activities aimed at expanding sales for your assigned brands.

- Developing and executing strategies to maximize sales for assigned brands: Selecting priority categories and products; planning, proposing, and negotiating sales promotion initiatives

- Product and inventory control: Building an optimal product lineup and managing appropriate inventory levels through coordination with brands

- Negotiating as a business partner: Building medium- to long-term relationships and driving initiatives to help brands achieve their business goals

Mandatory Qualifications:

- Experience in creating data-driven sales plans (such as sales forecasts, budget planning, and inventory planning) in roles such as sales, merchandising, buying, and store management

- Logical thinking and problem-solving skills

- Strong communication and negotiation skills

Desired Qualifications:

- Practical experience in the fashion industry

- Practical experience in e-commerce

- Practical experience in corporate sales
